• She was born in Istanbul in 1967. She graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1991. After one year of compulsory service in Rize-Çayeli, she started her Chest Diseases specialization training at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University in 1992. 
• She became a Pulmonologist in 1997. 
• After working as a specialist physician until 2002, she worked as an Assistant Professor at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Faculty of Medicine 2002. 
• She received the title of Associate Professor in 2008 and Professor in 2014. 
• In 2012, she was an observer at the Sleep Center at Stanford University- California-USA, with a COHE scholarship. 
• She has been working on Respiratory Disorders in Sleep since 2010. 
• In 2016, she started working at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University with the title of Professor. 
• She retired from the same university in July 2022. 
• She has been active in the Turkish Thoracic Society and is a member of the Executive Board of the Sleep Respiratory Disorders Working Group.
•  She is conducting studies on air pollution and the climate crisis. She is currently continuing her studies on the Executive Board of the Turkish Thoracic Society Working Group on Environmental Problems and Lung Health. 
• She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Muğla Chamber of Medicine.
